One of the students from the Faculty of Education studying Bachelor of Education, Special Needs at the Catholic University of Malawi has been awarded one semester scholarship at West Liberty University under Global Undergraduate Exchange Program.
The student, Gilbert Kandaya is among three students from Malawi who have left the country for one semester of studies in the United States of America sponsored by the U.S Department of State.
Kandaya expressed gratitude to the Catholic University of Malawi for the quality that he is getting that made him qualify for the program.
“I am grateful to my lecturers for their dedication for me to be among three students in Malawi to study in the United States of America” Said Kandaya.
He added “I will always work hard for the semester I will be at West Liberty University and to make my mother university proud”
Kandaya will be joined by two students from the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) to study in the United States of Malawi.
Gilbert Kandaya is in fourth-year student at the Catholic University of Malawi.
The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (also known as the Global UGRAD Program) provides one semester scholarships to outstanding undergraduate students from around the world for non-degree full-time study combined with community service, professional development, and cultural enrichment.
